Certified with TPI, K-vest Level 2 CertifiedDerek has been teaching golf in Northern Colorado market since 1990. He was elected to the PGA membership in 1992 and recognized as a Certified PGA Professional in 2008 in four areas of expertise. These certificates include; Instruction, Golf Operations, General Management, and Executive Management. Derek has had the opportunity to attend numerous PGA instruction seminars and has learned and applied valuable swing concepts from some of golf’s most recognized names in golf including Hank Haney, Dick Harmon, Charlie Epps, Laird Small, Mike McGetrick, Dr. Bob Rotella, Manuel de la Torre and many others. In 2011, Derek embraced a new paradigm in golf instruction and is convinced that a golfer must not only understand swing fundamentals but bio-mechanics as well.
His philosophy was adopted from the Titleist Performance Institute and simply states: “We don’t believe there is one way to swing a club. We believe there are an infinite number of ways to swing a club. However, we do believe there is one efficient way for all golfers to swing a club & it is based on what they can physically do.”
Derek was the first professional in Northern Colorado to open a state of the art indoor learning and performance center using the latest technology in the industry. Golf Dynamics currently uses the V1 software platform, the Foresight GC3 launch monitor, and the V1 Branded Academy where students can access recorded video of their swings 24/7 from their smart phones. Derek has taught approximately 35,000 lessons during his career. He is excited to work with all levels of players, from the beginner, intermediate and advanced. Chandler is a dedicated golf instructor with 9 years of experience helping golfers of all skill levels improve their game. With a passion for the sport and a deep understanding of swing mechanics, he focuses on creating personalized training programs that enhance both technique and confidence on the course.
He attended CU Colorado Springs in the Professional Golf Management Program before transferring to CSU to return to Fort Collins and commit to Golf Dynamics full time. He has truly embraced the Golf Dynamics philosophy in that there is not a method or a single way to swing, but an infinite number of ways based on what you are physically capable of.
Chandler has become part of Callaway’s Professional Staff and has become a major factor in making Golf Dynamics a Top 100 Fitter in the country for not only Callaway Golf but also a Top 100 Fitter for PING as well. At Golf Dynamics we use the latest camera technology with the V1 Video system and utilize Trackman and Foresight GC3 to give you not only the best fit but also to improve your golf swing. He has also built a repertoire for having a great junior and high school golf clientele.
